Die “Kontor Top Of The Clubs” ist eine Institution in der Dance-Szene und ein zuverlässiges Barometer für die musikalischen Trends in den Clubs. Viele der für die “Kontor Top Of The Clubs” ausgewählten, und teilweise noch unveröffentlichten Tracks, sind erstmalig und exklusiv auf einer Compilation vertreten und damit Trend setzend! Auch für die Zusammenstellung und das Mixing der Volume 42 zeichnet sich wieder ein DJ-Team der Extraklasse mit seinem musikalischen Gespür verantwortlich!

Auf CD1 zündet Kontor-Labelboss Jens Thele mit Tracks von Lady Gaga, Laurent Wolf, Dave Darell feat. Hardy Hard, Spencer & Hill, Alex Gaudino, Kid Cudi vs. Crookers, Aquagen, Dance Nation vs. Shaun Baker, Michael Mind feat. Manfred Mann’s Earth Band und vielen mehr ein regelrechtes Hit-Feuerwerk!
Für die CD2 übernimmt dann “Top Of The Clubs”-Tastemaker Markus Gardeweg die Regler und besticht in gewohnter Manier mit seiner Auswahl an aktuellen und zukünftigen Floorburnern. So finden sich u.a. Tracks von Cunnie Williams feat. Monie Love, Chris Lake, ATFC, Sandy Rivera, Soulsearcher, Funkerman, D.O.N.S., Mischa Daniels, DJ DLG vs. Erick Morillo, Norman Doray & Tristan Garner sowie viele weitere Club-Perlen in seinem DJ-Set.
Einen ganz besonderen Leckerbissen gibt es schließlich auf CD3! Master & Servant komplettieren das fette 3er CD-Pack mit ihrem DJ-Set. Nach ihrem gleichnamigen Club-Hit “Master & Servant” sind sie jetzt wieder mit ihren brandaktuellen Studioproduktionen “Step By Step” & “Why Don’t You (Suck My Fu**ing Dick)” am Start und exklusiv auf der “Kontor Top Of The Clubs Vol. 42” vertreten. Hinter dem Projekt stehen keine Geringeren als die Top-DJs und Produzenten Gordon Hollenga (eine Hälfte von The Disco Boys) und Jay Frog (Ex-Mitglied von Scooter), die bereits für unzählige Produktionen und Compilations (u.a. “Kontor Top Of The Clubs”) ihr musikalisches Gespür unter Beweis gestellt haben. Am 27.02.2009 erscheint die 42. Ausgabe der “Kontor - Top Of The Clubs” auf drei CDs mit 60 Club-Hits und insgesamt fast vier Stunden Spielzeit in the Mix.

Neben Kontor-Labelchef Jens Thele und Top Of The Clubs-Resident Markus Gardeweg haben dieses Mal Gordon Hollenga (ein Teil von The Disco Boys) und Jay Frog (Ex-Scooter) als Master & Servant ein DJ-Set beigesteuert.

Das Zugpferd des Hamburger Dance Labels Kontor Records - Top Of The Clubs - ist nun mittlerweile bei Episode 39 angekommen, aber keineswegs alt und träge geworden. Auf 3 CDs finden sich alle wichtigen Club Hits wieder die derzeit angesagt und trendy sind. Auch Kontor Platten Boss Jens Thele lässt es sich nicht nehmen CD1 gleich selbst zu mixen und legt mit Lützenkirchen’s “3 Tage Wach” vor und bereitet über Alexander Marcus “1, 2, 3″ und Bob Sinclar & Fireball den Weg für Markus Gardeweg, der auf CD2 den Ton angibt. Mit Mark Knight, Steve Angello und auch den Boogie Pimps geht es straight weiter zu Gottfried Engels, dem Kölner Urgestein und Chef von Tiger Records, der es unter anderem mit R.I.O und G&G auf CD3 ein weiteres Mal krachen lässt.
